"Carol’s Dream"
In l991, I wanted to physically and spiritually take flight. Because of a family situation, we had moved from my wonderful home in Colorado to a small town upstate New York. As soon as I exited the airplane, I felt a heavy, oppressive energy. Many days my disposition reflected the gloomy, cloudy weather outside. Family pressures were high and deep depression set in. I needed to transform my energy by creating a new painting.

I arranged a group of chairs to position my body so that it would appear as if I was flying. As I looked in the mirror, I saw myself flying and transferred what I saw onto the canvas. I had a difficult time transforming the energy and as a result put the painting away.

Later that year, I created a one woman art show in Sedona, Arizona. I felt my spirit expand and soar because of the blue skies and the aliveness of the light energy. A red rock from Sedona assisted me to remember the Arizona light as I sat in the gloomy dark energy of my eastern home. As I started a new painting called “Sedona Vision”, I kept hearing “SPIRIT” say to me “move to Arizona, Shari”! My dream came true one year later. As we drove West across the country toward Arizona, I felt my energy field become lighter.

Happily settled in Tucson, the painting “Carol’s Dream” was about to be completed. I had developed a friendship with my neighbor Carol. One morning she came over to the studio and saw the unfinished painting in a corner. It reminded her of a dream she recently had in which she was flying, giving her a tremendous feeling of freedom. I remembered how I originally felt when I began the painting. I felt compelled to complete the painting. It enthusiastically demonstrates the feeling of lifting up, as in flight, to a new frequency of energy!
