"Reach for the Stars"

This painting began with an inspirational message from Spirit on the artist's birthday. Spirit said a gift was being offered...a new beginning and a new awareness. The messengers would show the way, trusting in oneself, bringing in new energy, playing, laughing, becoming a star, and sharing the light of the star with others. Reach for the Stars is about each of us stretching to attain our highest potential. Each star represents an inspiration waiting for manifestation on the earth plane, integration of heaven and earth!

This painting began as a vision painted in the studio. Spirit guided the artist's paintbrush to create the most beautiful setting that she could imagine. A magical mountain canyon emerged with stars descending from the heavens going through a portal to inspire the plants and fairies of the earth to receive the light, and shine.

The stage was now set for the next phase, the journey. The artist felt drawn to visit a remote canyon. She walked through the stream bed at the bottom of the canyon, passed through a fairy like meadow and came to a side canyon. As she proceeded up the side canyon, she felt an energy field that was getting stronger and stronger. The walls of the side canyon became steeper and higher. She kept climbing up on the smooth rock bed, and at the end of the canyon was an amazing waterfall that cascaded down into a beautiful crystal clear pool. She played on the side of the eggshaped pool and could sense the fairies of the earth, water and air emerging and reflecting clear luminescent light in a mirror-like fashion. At that moment she realized that she was in the magical setting of her painting.

Spirit invited the artist to jump into the icy cold water. She held back a moment. Then she heard a voice that said "Shari, go for it, REACH FOR THE STARS. Jump!" She jumped in and swam toward the waterfall. The artist noticed a large bug basking under the waterfall occupying the space she wanted. She gently picked up the bug and moved him over so she could complete the symbolic cleansing and polishing to become a shiny star. When she got out of the water she stood on the rock near the waterfall and held up her arms reaching for the heavens. She could feel a golden light pouring into her body.

When it was time to leave, she heard Spirit say, "Shari this is your sacred sanctuary. Return often. This is a feminine vortex of energy. This is a place to inspire yourself. Run wild in this wilderness and receive what it has to offer."

As she began the long walk out of the spiraling high walled canyon, she realized that the high undulating walls of rock looked like a birth-canal which led to the womb of the sacred waterfall and pool. She saw many large rock spirits, which were protecting this feminine vortex.

The artist realized that the main star in the painting symbolized the window of opportunity that she had experienced by reaching for the light. In seizing the moment, she hadn't allowed the opportunity to pass.
