"Angels and Fairies"

The circle of light is in the shape of a keyhole, and is a portal or doorway to the etheric plane. There are two cats guarding this gate to the heavens. The reflections of their pointed ears are seen in the water. There are angels and fairies running in this magical garden, as well as many hidden, playful devas of the earth. Turning the picture upside down reveals a deva wind spirit. When the artist spotted this wind spirit she confronted him and asked what he was doing there, because she doesn't know how to paint upside down. The wind spirit said, "I came through upside down to teach you to trust that these hidden beings are real. They are not your imagination. I know you don't paint upside down but this was the only way to convince you."

If you step back and get distance to view the painting, there is a skull occupying the same space as the portal. The eyesockets are located where the cats are. The artist did not see this double image until two years after the painting was completed. The message that came through is that light and shadow co-habitate. As one embraces their shadow, shadow is then transformed into light. There is also one big light-being with his arms outstretched in the lighted area.
