A Grand Canyon backpacking trip was the source for
the vision of The Goddess. The energy for this painting came through the artist when
awakened in the middle of the night while in the canyon. Celestial light beings pierced
the artist's body from many directions. This experience generated joy and peace inspiring
the artist to create The Goddess. In the painting, the Goddess has a serene look. It
appears as if the celestial beings and angels in the sky are entwined in her hair. Many of
these celestial beings and angels are descending to the earth to work with the lower,
animal energies. These celestial beings that work on the earth plane have their wings
tipped in blue.
On the right side is an angel traveling with an animal. Their bodies are
totally entwined. If you look on the left side, there's another celestial being with blue
tipped wings. The wing on the left becomes intertwined with an animal spirit that looks
like a reptile. The lower part of the body becomes another ancient reptile.
This painting represents the peaceful cohabitation of light and dark. As
one embraces the shadow, the lower energy may be transformed into light.
