"Sunflowers" This painting was inspired by the music and dance from my daughter’s dance recital. As my daughter danced in the opening act, I became increasingly restless, as I felt the creativity moving through me. I rushed home, passed every car on the two lane highway, and tore into my studio. I spotted a photo of sunflowers and needed to express the joy of their dance. With the essence of the message completed, I returned to enjoy the grand finale, the other act my daughter participated in. Note the fairy faces inside many of the sunflowers, which I noticed only after the painting became published.
